Dedicated to wine appreciation and amateur winemaking

This website was last updated February 18th, 2008

The San Antonio Regional Wine Guild (SARWG) was founded on May 16th, 1976, at the Old Standby Saloon in Castroville, Texas. Charlie Suehs had the honor to be elected SARWG's first President, Robert (Bob) Jorrie the first Vice President, and Dorothy Alatorre the first Secretary-Treasurer. They paved the way, and we are grateful.

Texas Ghost Wineries

A list of Texas wineries of days gone by has been added to our links page. This may seem like a strange place to put such a list, but we think it makes a nice counterpoint to the list of active Texas wineries on the same page. Check out the Texas Ghost Wineries at the bottom of the page.
