SARWG's Spring 2002 Home Wine Competition was held April 21st, 2002 at Raymond Russell Regional Park, Pavillion #3, off I-10 just north of San Antonio. Susie Higgins chaired the competition and John Breitler served as Head Judge. Winners are posted at Competitions.

SARWG members Lee Foster Fuqua, Luke Clark, and Lynette Clark did well at two major competitions. Lee Fuqua and Luke Clark placed wines at the HWBTA's National Amateur Wine Competition in California. SARWG's Autumn Home Wine Competition was held November 4th, 2001 at Raymond Russell Regional Park, Pavillion #3, off I-10 just north of San Antonio. Leslie Lunt chaired the competition and Charlie Suehs was Head Judge. Details are posted on the Competitions page.

At the March 17th meeting of the San Antonio Regional Wine Guild, 10 members took the wine faults identification test for Home Wine Judge Certification. Five passed. They are:

Doug Higgins, Greg Howard, Marvin Nebgen, and Tom Wells completed the Home Wine Judge Consistency Test on January 24th. Marvin Nebgen has now completed all three tests and is a Certified Home Wine Judge. For more information on Home Wine Judge Certification, see our Certification page.
